Tunisia
Journal of some recent phone calls and meetings with viewers in Tunisia
I met him and gave him the whole bible. He's almost 18-years-old seeking God for 2 years now. He's very respectful, religious and memorizes the whole Koran and very intellectual about histoy and most Islamic writings and books. Had been a member of a sect for 9 years but his father had forbidden him from meeting any of them! He was very excited about the book I gave and begged me to be patient with him for its so diffucult for him to change.
He had been so scared and confused. He had made up his mind to see a psychologist because he thought he's so strange and crazy. He had been seeking God for around 2 years now, watching Christian TV on satellite. He thought he was the only Tunisian believer so he was so excited to see Tunisian brothers and sisters on TV.
He had been a believer for sometime. He just wants to meet Tunisian brothers and church.
Had been in faith since 2003! He never got to know any believers around. He's so excited!
She is so happy to see Tunisian christians on TV; she said "we" miss that soo much and that she loved the program and encourages us to work and be used more and more for his glory.
We had a great long discussion. He is very very interested. He wanted to go to a church somewhere in the south but they didn't allow Tunisians to enter. He wants to meet someone to talk more about so many details; he has some friends they meet together at least once a week to discuss about the same subject. They all watch Christian programs and have so many questions.. When I called him back, they were there too and he was explaining what I said and they asked some questions. They all want bibles and want to talk to some people to discuss.
Prayer
We thank the Lord of the Church that the Egyptian Court has agreed that the Church cannot be forced by Egypt's government to act against its own principles. Pray that the Churches of the Arab World continue to be able to function with government interference.
