Third Tunisian TV Series
The most recent batch of 30 new episodes - the third installment since the beginning - was recorded this summer. It featured three Tunisian Christians discussing their Christian faith and answering various questions from the viewers.
Since going on air a year ago, the program has been mentioned in the local Tunisian press and on the Aljazeera news channel. Reporters have been raising concern about the growth of Christians in Tunisia. The response coming in from viewers and reports from the country confirm that very same trend.
“We have been encouraged by the overall response to this program,” says Arab Vision’s North Africa director. “Several Tunisians have made clear commitments to follow Jesus Christ, and others have revealed that they have already been secretly believing in Him. Our program prompted them to make contact as they realized there were other Tunisian Christians; now some have joined church fellowships,” he adds.
Another important benefit of this project is the training offered to Tunisians. So far, five Tunisians have been trained in various aspects of TV production, such as camera work, presenting and operating the ‘switcher’. One of these young trainees has decided to make this his career and is hoping to get involved in the TV/film industry in Tunisia.
At the same time, Arab Vision has supported and trained the production crew of its partner organization for this project, Focusmedia. “I regard this series as one of our most successful program and partnership initiatives to date for our North African work,” summarizes the director
