Dear friends,

Many people in the Arab World live under spiritual or psychological burdens. They struggle with superstition, occult practices and pressure from culture, religion and family. Many of them try out whatever will work to get rid of this burden, but often this just drives them deeper in the dark.

We want to offer people hope through Jesus Christ. For a TV series called ‘Deliverance’, we have recorded 13 personal stories. Some people were bold enough to tell their story on camera, while others were only willing to tell their story if we would record them in a non-recognizable way. That shows how problematic and sensitive this issue is.

Based on these real stories, three people with years of experience in the ministry of deliverance from bondage will give biblical teaching in a studio recording during the first days of November. This is the very first series by Arab Christians on this topic to be broadcast all over the Arab World and Europe by Christian satellite. We expect that the programs will have tremendous impact and that they will give hope to many people living in bondage.

A popular Christian satellite channel with an audience in the millions is ready to broadcast this series. They also contributed financially to this production, but could not afford to cover all the expenses. To finalize this production we need your support. To pay for the expenses of the studio recordings we need a contribution of 500 USD or 390 Euro per program. The total amount needed is 6500 USD or 5070 Euro.

Another program we have just finished producing is the Bible School on TV. For this project, we work together in partnership with one of the well-established churches in the region. The 35 episodes are recorded in a classroom setting where students receive the fundamental teachings of the Bible. Besides the obvious benefit to the Arab Christian community, these programs are geared to help disciple Arab Muslims who have become believers in Jesus Christ. Most of them will not have the opportunity to attend a Bible school, so with this program, we are taking the Bible school into their homes.

We would love to respond to any opportunities you may have for us to share with you too. This could be a very good resource to help your church or house group be aware of what’s going on in those countries and how best to pray for them.

Let me leave you with a question that one of our viewers asked us recently - “I am a Muslim and I want to know, why the cross?” Sometimes it takes a simple and short question like that to make us pause and remember what it’s all about. The message of that cross, which seems to be increasingly regarded as foolishness by those who have had plenty of opportunity to accept it in the West, is capturing the hearts of many Arab Muslims and bringing them to salvation in Jesus Christ.
