Gaza Murder
The murder of our brother Rami Khader Ayyad in Gaza make me so angry. I am sometimes so utterly fed up with my own political correctness when speaking about Islam. Indeed, there are many decent Muslims. I daresay, the vast majority of Muslims are very decent people. And I also know that contemporary extremism in Islam is not 'normal'. Throughout the centuries, cold-blooded murder has been condemned by Islam as it is today. And Islam has been benevolent to its minorities in a manner that is humbling to European Christendom. Oh, I know many other politically correct statements; I could write whole articles on this basis.
But this murder of my brother Rami made me so mad. What religion is this, that in the name of God murders people because they have a different opinion? What religion inspires people to such horrendous deeds? What 'prophet' is an example for his adherents who take the life of a young man, husband, and father to three children?
May God be with his wife and children. May God be with the Christians in Palestine. May the God of justice act against this religiously inspired wickedness.
